“…cross the west coast to the west coast.”: Walker Week in Los Angeles

44 years after Scott Walker walked out of a year-long residency at Gazzari’s on the Sunset Strip and boarded a plane for London…he’s back (sort of…)! “Scott Walker — 30 Century Man” (finally) arrives in Los Angeles on Friday February 27 for a week run at Landmark’s NuArt Theatre. (SK in person Fri 27 & Sat 28 at 7:30 pm shows)

To celebrate the LA premiere of the film, we have teamed up with Don’t Knock the Rock & The Fold to present a pre-release event: A Tribute to Scott Walker: live at Bordello. Wednesday February 25th, 7:30 pm.  The line-up will include David J, Ann Magnuson, Kristian Hoffman, Rob Dickinson, Levinhurst, Jason Falkner, John Doe, Julianna Raye, Evie Sands, Michael Berg, Fitz & The Tantrums, and Dan Crane (aka Bjorn Turoque), with emcee Michael Des Barres. $12. Tix now on sale at www.foldsilverlake.com

And because we just don’t want the Scott to stop, on opening night, Friday February 27th from 9:00 pm, we’re doing another Scott Walker Lounge, this time at Liquid Kitty. DJs Cyrano & Señor Amor spin SW and WB faves + giveaways (CDs, posters, film passes + $2 off drink specials w/ ticket stub!)

And finally, we are very pleased to announce that the film has been acquired for distribution in North America by Oscilloscope Laboratories. Oscilloscope is a NYC-based recording studio, film production & distribution company, and post-production facility founded by Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys. The film will make it to a few more US cities before landing on DVD in the summer.
